It was an advantage to appear on Helen Guo's SMB Deal Hunter podcast last week, talking about how I bought an accounting firm as a non-CPA. My 2 individual takeaways from this and other interviews I've done: 1. AMAZING how service ownership forces rapid individual, psychological, and psychological growth. Even because we recorded this a couple of months ago I'm miles ahead of where I was in this minute.

Probably time for a bit of a cleanup back there. Watch here!.

Optimizing Conversion Funnels for High-Performance Paid Results

Per Google's Ads Help Center, the metrics you should focus on depend on your goal. Running a profits campaign? See ROAS and CPA. Building brand awareness? Focus on impressions and reach. Driving leads? Conversions and conversion rate are your main signals. Chasing engagement? CTR informs you whether your ads are resonating.

Track what aligns with your goal. Every dollar you spend produces data. Metrics surface area where that information points: which keywords lose budget plan, which advertisements pull clicks, which landing pages kill conversions. Without a metrics practice, optimization is uncertainty.-- These are top-of-funnel numbers. They tell you how typically your ad appears and how typically people act upon it.

Your advertisement isn't engaging, or you're targeting the wrong audience. Per Google Advertisements documents, 5 clicks on 100 impressions equals a 5% CTR.

It feeds into Ad Rank, which identifies where your advertisement appears in the auction. Advertisements that consistently make clicks signal to Google that your content matches searcher intent.

Per Google's Advertisements Help Center, this metric tells you how typically a click becomes the outcome you want. A low conversion rate typically points to a landing page problem, not an ad problem.

High-Conversion Design Tips for Modern Paid Media

If your CPA surpasses what a client is worth to you, the campaign requires work. Per Google Advertisements paperwork, a 500% ROAS suggests you make $5 in income for every $1 spent.

One important note: you need conversion tracking set up in Google Advertisements before these metrics appear. Without it, you can not measure CPA, ROAS, or conversion rate precisely.

Impression share is the portion of eligible impressions your advertisements actually received. Per Google's Advertisements Assist Center, low impression share usually means you're losing presence to budget restrictions or low quotes.
